For our SCM team, we are looking for a Sustainable Material and Business
Ecosystem Manager to help us drive sustainable material and business ecosystem
within Siemens and beyond. We are a highly motivated team and are excited to
get to know you.
You'll make an impact by
* Introducing sustainable material (Mainly Steel, Aluminum and Copper
related) along the value chain and bundling demands from all business/locations
to achieve the best supplier base
* Promoting Siemens technology and solution and empowering suppliers for
their Automation, Digitalization and Sustainability transformation to establish
a business ecosystem with supply chain partners
* Monitoring local supply market development of sustainable materials,
providing in-depth market insight of full value chain and technology roadmap,
and contributing to the related global commodity sustainability strategy
definition and implementation in the region
* Organizing and executing regional bundling of the demands of the different
Business/locations and projects for sustainable materials including the 1st and
the 2nd tier of suppliers
* Driving supplier management including existing supplier development and
introduction of new suppliers to build the best supplier base, defining supply
chain model with business partner and negotiating contracts with suppliers to
secure quality, cost, and delivery
* Implementing and driving a cross-locational and cross-functional competence
network, sharing competence and best practices, and driving a common program to
support business need of sustainable material implementation
* Building and maintaining SCM Business Sales network, empowering procurement
team as “Sales” with continuous learning of Siemens products development, and
following up/supporting with Sales team for potential business opportunities
realization at suppliers
* Monitoring/optimizing SCM Sales support initiative progress and organizing
management meetings to enhance collaboration between Siemens and Suppliers
* Reporting SCM Sales support initiative progress status and organizing
management and core team regular meetings, ensuring business impact with close
team collaboration
Your defining qualities
* At least 5 years experience in procurement/sourcing in China preferable
with a mid to large size international company in the mechanical parts area,
preferable working with Steels
* At least 5 years experience in the technical procurement process and
commercial procurement process
* At least 3 years’ experience as a Commodity Manager for a similar business
field, being used to work in an international matrix organization
* At least 8 years experience working within an international environment
coming from different cultures and countries
* Bachelor or above, majored in material science, metallurgy related or
mechanical engineering
